We're constantly improving your Precursive experience to ensure your resource management tools are easy-to-use and beautiful. Here are some of the new features this month.
SCROLLABLE SCHEDULE DURING ADDING & EDITING BOOKINGS
The booking window has been moved to the right hand side of the schedule so that when it opens you can see the schedule more clearly and scroll during booking allocation.
IMPROVEMENTS TO SAVED FILTERS
Filters are now searchable - available at the top of the Precursive Plan page, you can easily find your saved filters: to search for a filter, just starting typing the name of the filter into the search.
Also, filters are now organized into two sections: public and private. Public filters are shared with everyone in your organization. Private filters are those which you configured for yourself. Contact our support to help you configure public filters for your organization.
Actions appear in drop-down menus in order to create new filters with ease; renaming, cloning and deleting them is now options available under the gear icon in the filtering pane.
CHANGING THE CAPACITY & BOOKING MODES
You can now flick between the capacity and booking modes using the buttons just above the filtering icon.
DEFAULT BOOKING MODE & PRECURSIVE PLAN VIEW
There are now two new defaults: the booking mode for new bookings as well as the booking mode view on Precursive Plan, which can be configured on the organisation level. You can define whether you want your bookings to be in Hours per Day, Total Hours or Total Days. When it is configured, you can still switch between booking mode views on Precursive Plan and create your bookings in a different mode than the default setting.
Do you remember what happened when you double-clicked on a day or week in the participant row on the schedule? A booking would be created and filled with the default daily working hours of the person; you can decide if this way of working is still suitable for your organisation.
But in the new Precursive release there is a new organisation level setting that enables the ‘Add Booking’ window. Once you have double-clicked on a cell you can insert the time allocation manually before saving it. If you wish to use this new functionality, please let us know and we will switch that on for you.

Do you want to quickly move a booking? Now you can do it by right-clicking on the booking and selecting a new start date.
This functionality will allow you to quickly move the whole project (with its bookings) in one go. Minor restriction, there cannot be any actual hours or expenses logged against the project in order to move it.
Shortening a project will allow you to cut a section of the project and remove all the bookings outside the selected range.

Milestones are a way of knowing how your projects are advancing. They also symbolize an achievement or a point of time in a project. Now you can add milestones to your projects and phases in Precursive. Thanks to that you can start tracking your recognised revenue based on the completion percentage of each milestone!
