It means your team can continue working from within your org and can take advantage of the integrated reporting and dashboard creation that it brings.

Smartsheet does not show data in real-time, if there is more than one person working within the sheet, users must make sure both parties have manually saved and refreshed data to view updates - this can take some time!
SmartSheet does not have a dedicated resource management tool. Based on user reviews on reputable sites, it is therefore not equipped for companies relying on fast services delivery. Users are also not able to view more than one sheet at once, unlike Precursive which offers both Precursive Plan and the ability to view all open project boards at once.
Precursive as a whole is a great tool for taking your Sales / customer details to the project-level and continuing the overall relationship/engagement management cycle. It allows your various teams (Finance, Customer Success, Project Management, Delivery) to have visibility into what is needed from them.

The Resource Manager has access to a real-time view of all forecasted and allocated resource requirements within Precursive Plan.
This allows resources to be smartly matched to projects based on skills, language, location etc. The real-time resource view allows managers to be able to hire at the correct time, understand where gaps in resources/skills appear and confidently report on data to senior leaders.
A Resource Manager is able to view upcoming and current projects and assign resources to projects and tasks within each project.
However, they will not have a view of the capacity of each resource. Both the number of projects assigned to that resource and how many hours per week they are already allocated, including any upcoming time off.
This will also affect the managers ability to create forecasted hiring plans.
Precursive Plan view is fantastic - it gives me that "nirvana state" of being able to see who is available when and also to find people who can deliver unassigned work on a project.
