About the Role

A key driver of Precursive’s growth is the volume of high-quality content generated by our marketing team for our sales team (collectively the revenue team). We’re looking for an experienced content writer/marketer who has a track record of effectively producing thought leadership, whitepapers and product pieces that impact all areas of the customer journey.

In this role, you will be responsible for Precursive’s leading position in content creation, from concept to execution. Reporting to the VP of Marketing, this is genuinely a high-impact role as our content engine has to date brought in some of our best customers.

The aim is to build a content stream that nurtures north of 50% of net new business within 12 months to help ensure that Precursive sees 100% ARR growth year over year.


  • Healthy experience in writing and building content plans and executing them in either B2B SaaS or B2B subscription services.

  • Results driven. You will have evidence of how you have driven traffic. 

  • Able to contribute to multi-channel campaigns with a high volume of activity month-over-month which delivers high quality leads into the business. 

  • Basic technical knowledge of HTML and online publishing.

  • Knowledge of SEO and web traffic metrics. 

  • Outstanding knowledge of written English (both UK and US). 

  • Ability to prioritise activities and focus strategies to drive traffic volumes aligned to business goals. 

  • Working Salesforce knowledge. 

  • Highly organized and metrics-driven to plan, deliver and optimize content programs. 

  • Strong collaborator while also being comfortable doing the day to day operational work required to scale the organization. 

  • Likely worked in a fast-paced scale-up environment where autonomy and entrepreneurial thinking are valued.

  • Experience with working within the B2B SaaS/Subscription/Tech environment. R

  • Experience working in various content roles with some evidence of progression. R

  • A working knowledge of Salesforce. NTH

  • Educated to university level (preferably in a writing or marketing relevant field). NTH

What you'll do:

  • Revise and elevate the Precursive content strategy that aligns with marketing and revenue targets for both the long term and the short term.

  • Generate and publish engaging content.

  • Collaborate with digital to aid the design and development of site content, including design and layout.

  • Edit, proofread and improve upon alternative writer content (both internal and guest).

  • Ensure brand consistency by assuming the Precursive tone-of-voice, communicating effectively.

  • Optimize content according to the SEO strategy.

  • Use content management systems to analyze website traffic and engagement metrics.

  • Increase web traffic across platforms by managing content distribution to online channels, content syndication and social media.

  • Ensure all data and work is legally compliant (e.g. copyright protection).

  • Remain current on developments and generate new ideas to draw the attention of our target audience.

  • Be data-driven and understand the lifecycle of a lead to deliver relevant content experiences for our customers and prospects alike in order to drive engagement for pipeline & opportunity conversion.

  • Work with the Head of Marketing and extended revenue team to ensure continuous optimisation of content channels.

  • Build and maintain a dashboard of action orientated KPIs/metrics in Salesforce and the MA system plus other content tools to track lead conversion. 

  • Build effective and ongoing engagement with our customers through traditional and digital channels helping to support the company’s desired NPS.

  • Work proactively with the commercial department to ensure the sales team are enabled with the right collateral.
