Dealertrack needed to ensure effective and accurate utilization of resources, but it was using a manual scheduling tool. It estimated a single person would take nine years to schedule all its resources. Each week, seven senior vice presidents spent 1.5 hours manually checking every booking, ensuring revenue reconciliation was correct and forecasting was up to date. The time lost was costing the business, so it needed to reduce the time it took to complete tasks.
